He said this to the press at Anna Salai, Chennai post office head that around 2,23,000 members were joined in chennai alone under this Selva Magal Semippu Scheme. Mr. Merlin Alexander also stated that, In this selva magal semippu scheme, at tambaram location nearly 52,000 members were joined. In India totally 28 Lakh members were joined under this Selva Magal Semippu Thittam which was started by the Indian prime minister Narendra Modi.
Tambaram stands first all over the county in opening the account at post office for Selva Magal Semippu Thittam.
